There is a common misconception that every diabetic gets kidney disease. Whereas the fact that, although uncontrolled glycaemia can cause kidney disease, but if a person suffering from diabetes keeps his blood sugar level under control, he can easily secure himself against kidney disease.
When a diabetic becomes caught in kidney disease, it’s because his body in unable to properly dispose of the wastes produced by sugars and starches. These remains are not properly broken down and are not passed out as is done in the case of normal metabolism. This chart was developed in 1981 and can be extremely effective for diabetics if properly followed. Those items which are high on this chart are most time consuming when it comes to breaking them down, and hence require greatest exertion from kidneys.
Another way in which diabetics are non-compliant is that many of them do not monitor their sugar level regularly. They must have a glucometer with them and should use it frequently to stay informed about their blood sugar level, and to present it to their physician in regular checkups.
Those diabetics trying to learn to weld, who do not want to take lifesaving medications, must ensure regular intake of insulin. It helps in breaking down and proper digestion of all items, thus helping kidneys. One must not be negligent in taking prescribed medications.
Exercise and weight control are a must, not only for diabetics but also for others because they help prevent most of the diseases.
Diabetes does not always lead to kidney disease especially when the patient is following all prescriptions.
